In the Mind's Eye is a portfolio of a journey through inner life which touches both personal inner burdens and the heavy weight of culturally imposed guilt.

It is a retelling of the story of Eve and the Apple. That Biblical story, which is laden with guilt for Eve, is played out even today. It is played out in the culturally-determined guilt experienced by some women, who feel at fault for what they do and, often enough, for what men attempt to do with them. That guilt has recently been confronted culturally in the #MeToo movement.

My profession is as a psychoanalyst and, on a very individual level, I have seen this drama play out often enough in my patients. This gallery represents a happy outcome of the struggle to come to terms with and outgrow that sense of guilt by working through it in an examination of one's inner life....by coming to know what is seen "In the Mind's Eye."
